As a 501(c)3 organization, we rely on and value every donation we receive from individuals, organizations, and businesses. From blankets to bequests, the animals cherish your support during their stay with us. Donations are needed for operating expenses, like food, medicine, veterinary services, utilities, etc. Our passionate volunteers and staff will stretch your donations and ensure the animals reap the reward! Donations of clean old blankets, pillows and towels are always welcome, as well as toys and treats for both cats and dogs. We try to keep all the animals on a steady diet of one brand of food to avoid digestive problems, so we prefer sticking with these brands, if possible.

We accept return deposit beverage cans and bottles as well as your Family Fare UPC labels for redemption. The UPCs can be dropped off or mailed to us at AuSable Valley Animal Shelter P.O. Box 384 Grayling, For cans and bottles, there is a drop off container outside the shelter fence.

The shelter is open for visitors and accepts calls Monday – Saturday 11AM–3PM and Sunday 10AM–12PM.
